I’m installing this on my iPod touch 2nd gen after jailbreaking , but it’s not working as it requires iOS 4.3 … Is there any way in which I can get it to work again ?? Because I had tried the previous versions , but they stopped working and demanded an update … Are there any versions that’ll still work ?? If so can you give me a link to it ?? go to cydia search for a tweak called WhatsPad install it and install whatsapp it should work fine on iPad 1&2

once you have connected to itunes; just before start syncing .. right click on your ipod (through itunes window) >> click on transfer purchases from ipod touch >>
this will copy the installed WhatsApp to your iTunes!

But when i sync my itouch to itunes, they ask me to authorize whatsapp. I authorize. However i have to delete the app to be able to sync because if i dont, it doesnt sync..
